Why did we start?
We have a love of cats and began breeding Burmese kittens in 2002. The Burmese breed of cat is wonderful, they are loyal, friendly, naughty, known as "the dog of the cat world", a real companion. I will always have at least 2 Burmese cats. We presently have Kimba a lilac female and Ninja a chocolate Male. Both are very friendly and have been known to hop into our clients cars while they are busy dropping off their beloved cat for a holiday with us. Only once has someone had to return one of them. (They only got as far as the gate before coming back with our cat! Inquisitive Burmese.)
After a few years of being registered cat breeders, there was an opening for a boarding cattery in the area as a well know cattery was closing their doors. We decided to run the Boarding cattery side by side with the Breeding cattery. This eventually proved to be too much and we decided to stay with the boarding cattery as a stand alone business.
We opened Easternstar Boarding Cattery in April 2004.
