Take the Moana Eco Tour through the Te Tapuwae o Rongokako Marine Reserve and learn about the Maori Legends of Whangara.  On this tour you will also get close to a seal colony and play with dolphins.  Try the stingray and penguin experience where you get to hand feed stingrays and look at penguin chicks in their natural habitat.  If you want something a little more exciting, try the shark cage diving.  Bookings can be made through the Gisborne i-SITE Visitor Information Centre 06 868 6139

The Gisborne Farmers' Market is a place where consumers can buy wares directly from growers and makers of artisan products.  It is a place for the sale of quality fresh produce, genuine artisan food products and products that form part of the food production cycle and are locally produced.  Examples of the products currently available at our market are:  seasonal fruits, vegetables, eggs, flowers, meat, vegetable seedlings, garden plants, jams, chutneys and a range of organically produced products.  Over time the market would like to add wine, oils, cheese, bread, nuts, cereals, composts and any other produce or products locally produced in Gisborne.  The market runs from 9am - 12 noon every Sunday and there is also an all weather venue so it will operate rain or shine.

Stoney Horse Treks trail ride is on the city boundary just a few minutes drive from the centre of Gisborne City. Our horseback adventure ambles over pine forest and native bush tracks, then accross farmland on a gentle climb to Gisborne's nearest summit to take in stunning high country views. There is a range of horses and ponies to suit all levels of riding. Riders will be briefed and schooled on riding techniques before embarking on this exhilarating trail ride.  A stunning horseback adventure into the hills overlooking Gisborne. Spectacular views of the city, beaches,the bay and Young Nick's Head.
